Unista RE to Host Online Event Modeled on G1 “Derby”; Winner Awarded ¥100,000 Worth of USOUL—and Coverage on “Chidori Kamaitachi Golden Hour” Draws Attention

The blockchain horse-racing game UNIVERSAL STALLION RE (hereafter, UniSta RE) has launched an online event modeled on the G1 “Derby.” Limited to just 256 entrants and featuring lavish rewards, the race footage was even aired on NTV’s “Chidori Kamaitachi Golden Hour,” sparking considerable buzz.

Yunisuta RE announced that, beginning May 29, 2025, it will hold an online race event modeled after the G1 race “Derby.” The event organized by Yunibāsaru Sutarion RE is an online race limited to 256 entries, planned based on the conditions of the actual G1 race “Derby.” The event is structured in two stages—preliminaries and finals—where both distance and each horse’s aptitude play a major role in determining the outcome. The preliminaries are scheduled to start on May 31, 2025, at 20:00 on a 2000 m turf course, set with the “Satsuki Sho” in mind. Participation is open to Memory Horses with an RP rating of 400 or higher, age two or older, across all rarity levels, with no restrictions on coat color. Entry is limited to one horse per owner, up to a maximum of 256 horses on a first-come, first-served basis, and no changes are allowed after entry. Only the 16 horses that finish first in the preliminaries will advance to the finals. The final race, modeled after the “Derby” at a distance of 2400 m on turf, will take place on June 1, 2025, at 20:00. Because the distances differ between the preliminaries and finals, strategies tailored to each horse’s aptitude will be required. Regarding rewards, the first-place finisher in the preliminaries will receive 100,000 USP, while the second- and third-place finishers will receive 10,000 USP and 2,000 USP, respectively. In the finals, the winning horse will be awarded 100,000 U Soul, the runner-up 10,000 U Soul, and the third-place horse 5,000 U Soul. Rewards are partly estimates, and additional details may be forthcoming.

Additionally, it was revealed that race footage from Universal Stallion RE appeared on the variety show "Chidori Kamaitachi Golden Hour," which aired on Nippon TV on May 28. The footage was used in a segment called "Rarely Named Horse Derby," bringing professional-level race scenes to terrestrial television. The broadcast's production techniques vividly conveyed the game's immersive atmosphere, leaving a strong impression on many viewers.

For a limited time, it is also being streamed on Tver, so if you’re interested, please check it out. (It begins airing around the 23-minute mark.)
