LINE NEXT to Launch Dapp Portal Based on LINE Messenger in Q1 2025

LINE NEXT has announced the release of Dapps and a Dapp portal service based on the LINE Messenger platform in the first quarter of 2025. This initiative is being advanced in collaboration with the Kaia DLT Foundation, aiming to enhance the activity of the Web3 ecosystem.

The Dapps scheduled for release include IP games from anime and manga, as well as health reward apps. Projects such as 'Shin-Chan’s Match Daily' and 'Captain Tsubasa-RIVALS-on LINE' have been announced. These Dapps utilize the Kaia platform to provide developers with assistance on fees and marketing support.

On December 12, 2024, LINE NEXT (LINE NEXT INC., representative: Ko Yons) announced that they will release a MINI Dapp and a DAPP portal service called 'Dapp PORTAL' based on the LINE messenger platform in the first quarter of next year.

Additionally, 30 projects have been selected as finalists for release as MINI Dapps through the 'Kaia WAVE' program, which is a Web3 developer support initiative being conducted in collaboration with the foundation (Kaia FOUNDATION, chairperson: So Sanmin).

Kaia WAVE is a Web3 developer support program jointly advanced by LINE NEXT and the Kaia Financial Group on the Kaia ecosystem platform. This program aims to foster Web3 development enterprises and further energize the domestic and international blockchain ecosystem. Since September this year, a total of over 800 teams have applied, and it is planned that more than 150 projects will be launched by the first half of next year. The following projects are included in this release:

・Shin-Chan’s Match Daily:
A puzzle match mini-game utilizing the popular anime 'Crayon Shin-chan'

・Captain Tsubasa-RIVALS-on LINE:
A casual game based on the popular soccer manga 'Captain Tsubasa'

・Bombie:
A creation by Pluto Studio, which reaches 43 million active users and holds the top sales position in mini app services

・Heroic Arena:
An idle mini Dapp where heroes engage in battles, based on the ACG (Anime, Comic, Game) style MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) world

・Superz:
A new work by the team that developed the health rewards app 'SuperWalk'

These projects utilize the Kaia platform's Dapp development platform provided in advance through Kaia WAVE, offering transaction fees, marketing support, and various investment opportunities.

Developers will leverage this support to develop mini Dapps on the LINE messenger platform and will gradually release them through the Dapp portal starting from the first half of next year. Through the Dapp portal, users will be able to utilize various Dapps within the LINE messenger, enabling them to earn and trade various rewards while using the services. LINE NEXT provides keyless digital wallets, fast transactions, and fee delegation functions, achieving superior accessibility and convenience for Web3 services. This offers a new service experience that bridges the gap between Web2 and Web3.

Furthermore, we have also released an SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows for easy development and expansion of mini Dapps based on the Kaia Chain.
