[Tokyo Game Show 2024] Blockchain Game Exhibition Report

The Tokyo Game Show 2024, running from September 26 to September 29, 2024, opened at Makuhari Messe, marking the largest show ever held in Japan. The exhibition hall was abuzz with activity, with 985 companies and organizations from 44 countries and regions in attendance. This year's show gives the impression that both indie games and AAA titles are beginning to naturally incorporate NFT and WEB3 elements. In this report, we cover the excitement of the venue on the first day of the show, focusing on blockchain games that are garnering significant attention.

The popular gymnast, Orakio-san, will be appearing at the venue. This is a unique opportunity to experience the world of games together with Orakio-san. Additionally, there will be a lottery for luxurious prizes, and the 'GESO Verse' blockchain game platform will also be on display, making it worth a visit.

"DARK MACHINE" is located in the booth next to GMO Media. "DARK MACHINE" is an arena game with a shooting style where battles are conducted with a maximum of 7 versus 7. It features an Unreal Engine 5 build that allows for environmental destruction. A beta test is planned for 2024, and a release is expected in 2025, utilizing Immutable zkEVM on the blockchain. Currently, an airdrop campaign is being conducted.

Apeiron is a hybrid blockchain game that combines 3D simulation and card-based action RPG elements. The player becomes a deity, promotes the development of a planet, and controls characters to engage in battles. "Kanpani☆Girls RE:BLOOM" will officially release on October 1, 2024 (Tuesday). We are excited as it seems this will be the first large-scale RPG released as a blockchain game. Looking forward to it.

Sekuya is a blockchain-based game platform that aims to build a metaverse ecosystem developed by Singaporean game developer Dream New World PTE LTD. Sekuya SAGA" is a MOBA RPG game and looks fun. They are also issuing token $SKUY.
