Railway Simulation Game 'SODATETSU' Launches NFT Marketplace, Offers Ethereum Prize Pool and Limited Edition Sleeper Train NFTs to Kickstart Player Transactions

JR Nishi Nihon Group planned and a railroad training game developed and operated by JR WEST INNOVATIONS CO.,LTD. JContents Co.,Ltd. called 'Sodatesu (SODATETSU)' has announced the opening of an NFT market.

The 'SODATETSU' railway carriages collected by the players can be traded as NFTs in the 'Sodatezu NFT Market' which opened on October 11th (Friday).

In the Sodatezu NFT Market, transactions are conducted on the Ethereum (ETH) chain, allowing players to buy and sell rare 'Sodatezu' items, such as event-exclusive items. For transactions, the use of cryptocurrency wallets like 'METAMASK' or dedicated wallets 'Sodatezu Wallet' is recommended.

With the start of the NFT market, a campaign is being implemented to distribute 1 million yen worth of Ethereum (ETH). Participation requires the establishment of a 'Sodate Tsuworetto', and ETH will be distributed to 100 people through a lottery. The application period is until October 31, and details of the campaign are listed in the application-specific form.

Additionally, a limited quantity of 'Nedai Tokkyu NFT' will also be sold. The lineup includes three types: 'Akatsuki EF65,' 'Suisei,' and 'Naha.' A total of 25 pieces of each type, making approximately 75 pieces, are scheduled to be sold.

The special express NFT unleashes special effects during the event "Stampede"'s second installment. Additionally, it is possible to achieve special combinations with specific arrangements and get upgraded to rare special trains "Naha Akatsuki" or "Suisei Akatsuki." The success of the combination is random, but there is also a function available that determines the success rate by using items.

Freemint introduces the original "SL Sodatesu". Original Machines A and B are randomly distributed in sets of 100 and are configured to demonstrate special effects during the event. Limited effects are also available, allowing you to enjoy different charms than usual. Details about Freemint are scheduled to be announced gradually on the official X (formerly Twitter).

The second installment of the 'Stampede' event, which celebrates Halloween season, 'Sodatetsu Halloween Party 2024', will feature JR Kyushu's Haus Ten Bosch-themed trains. In this event, players can enjoy races where they defeat monsters dressed as zombies, and upon reaching a certain number of victories, they can obtain a special train.

Additionally, a new mini-game "Sodate Tsupazuru" has been added within the game, and elements that allow you to earn limited items and in-game currency "IC" based on your score have been introduced.
