Digital Entertainment Asset Pte. Ltd. and Greenway Grid Global have launched a social contribution game called "PicTrée" across Akita Prefecture as a pilot test. This event allows participants to contribute to the maintenance of regional infrastructure by earning rewards for taking photos of utility poles.
In this experiment, approximately 3,500 utility poles located in Akita Prefecture will be targeted, and players will use a smartphone app to photograph the utility poles. The reward obtained from taking the photos is equivalent to 200 yen per pole in the form of points, which can be exchanged for Amazon gift certificates or the cryptocurrency DEAPcoin (DEP). The information on the photographed electrical facilities is expected to be useful in improving infrastructure maintenance and security.

“Pikutore” is a team-based competition game where players photograph nearby power assets, such as utility poles and manholes, and compete over the number and distance of photographed power assets.
Players choose one team from three options: “Anpea,” “Bolt,” and “Watt,” to which they belong and participate in the game as a member of that team. In the game, players perform actions such as “checking in” and “photographing” power assets like utility poles, and earn points by “connecting” photographed utility poles to each other. The rankings of the three teams are determined by the total points of the teams they belong to.
Depending on their performance in the game, players can earn rewards such as Amazon gift vouchers and DEAPcoin (DEP). Additionally, team rewards based on team rankings can be earned at the end of each season conducted over a fixed period.
