YGG Japan Announces Development of "YAIBA," the First Game-Specific Layer 3 on Sony Group's Soneium

YGG Japan announced that it will develop a game-specialized Layer 3 project called 'YAIBA' in Soneium, a Web3 infrastructure developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs Pte. Ltd. Soneium aims to popularize Web3 games and provide new gaming experiences by leveraging a unique ecosystem from the Sony Group.

YAIBA aims to provide all-in-one solutions for game developers to create Web3 games, specifically through specializing in game domain transactions to improve the scalability of the entire Soneium ecosystem. Additionally, they plan to offer various tools necessary for Web3 game development, such as token issuance, real-time transaction monitoring, and a multilingual smart contract environment.

Soneium is an open blockchain developed by Sony Group's Sony Block Solutions Labs, aiming to create a network that anyone can participate in based on Web3 technology. It focuses on moving away from centralized management and creating use cases aimed at the spread of Web3 technology.

End users can utilize Web3 games and NFT marketplaces through responsive applications, with data being managed in a decentralized manner. For developers, efficient tools and test networks are provided, progressing towards the upcoming mainnet launch. Soneium aims at popularizing Web3 services and envisions constructing a new digital economy.
